Executive Chef and Operations Expert Chad Newton is a Bay Area native born and raised in Northern California. He has honed his skills in top ventures throughout Northern California. Newton began his career at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio Restaurant in San Francisco and worked with acclaimed Chefs Mitchell Rosenthal and Jack Yoss. Newton then helped Chef Richard Reddington open the nationally recognized Redd before joining the Kimpton Hotel Group to work on a various projects as a consulting chef to their hotel restaurants.
Newton’s last run as Executive Chef was with FK Restaurant CEO Frank Klein at the critically acclaimed San Francisco restaurant Fish & Farm. Fish & Farm has been praised for being one of the most sustainable and local-centric restaurants in the Bay Area. Chef Chad has been a driving force behind this emphasis on local products and sustainability in all aspects of the menus and operations. He is a co-founder of the fast-growing fast-casual brand Asian Box.
Chad's awesome tattoos tell a story of a privileged upbringing of fine food, fine wine, and are a testament to his tolerance for pain (at times needed to get the tough work done).
